BSc (Human Nutrition & Dietetics); MB BCh BAO; MD; MHSc (Clinical Education); FRCSI (Trauma & Orthopaedics)
My undergraduate medical training was in Galway (West of Ireland) and subsequent postgraduate surgical and orthopaedic training in multiple hospitals across Ireland. Following this, I came to New Zealand in 2018 and completed a lower limb arthroplasty fellowship in Christchurch (Canterbury DHB/University of Otago). I then spent a second fellowship year in Australia (Royal Adelaide Hospital) before returning to New Zealand in July 2020 to take up a consultant post at Rotorua Hospital. My public practice predominantly consists of hip and knee replacement, particularly revision surgery and management of complications, along with some general orthopaedic trauma.
