The Andry Tree

If you have ever taken a close look at our logo you would notice the ropes connected to the fern and the "R".

This is deeply embedded in the history of Orthopaedics, our logo is an adaptation from the illustration called "The Andry Tree" which was the frontispiece of French physician and author, Nicolas Andry de Bois-Regard's book, Orthopédie . The frontispiece showed a straight stake tied to a crooked sapling which is a metaphor for the correction of deformities in children.

A simpler version of Andry's illustration has been used to serve as an international symbol for Orthopaedics and is used by a number of institutions in multiple countries.
